Young Jeezy had to release two albums independently before winning a deal: after the second one, Come Shop Wit' Me (2003), managed to sell 50,000 copies, he finally earned a contract with Def Jam. Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 (2005) was his mainstream debut, and it sold almost two million records in America thanks to MTV coverage for the six released singles.
